  Buster Keaton
Sherlock Jr. & Our Hospitality
a Buster Keaton double feature
with live piano from Albert Lamb

Sunday 8 September 7pm
Goods Shed, Stroud GL5 3AP

A special double feature of two of Buster Keaton’s shortest and most admired feature films. When it was first released Sherlock Jr. was a flop with the public and with many critics but recently Time magazine put it on its list of the All-time 100 Movies. The classic dream sequence is surreal and profound but also elegantly funny. Our Hospitality, a film about Buster getting caught in a southern family feud, is one of his most charming and compelling comedies with some very sweet gags and a fabulous, daring climax. Albert Lamb is, in his usual way, preparing new scores for both of these films, creating an appropriate musical accompaniment to bring out all the humour and emotion in every scene. He promises to really make these movies swing. Two comedy masterpieces for the price of one!

With an endless artistic curiosity Neutral Norway are continuing to be drawn to the aesthetics of paper, the traditional press; the cutting and pasting of zines, and the influence the physical presence of a book can have on the poetry itself. Neutral Norway's core collective is Aimee Ballinger, Deva O'Neill, Percy Currie, Alfie Prendergast, Michael Milner and Hannah Levene.
