Deadly-Creatures present the pre-launch and music focused weekend that precedes the exhibition openings on the following Friday 9th May. Filthy Boy, signed to Stranger Records, are all 19 years old and from South London. Blending strange storytelling with big chunks of macabre yet catchy guitar music, they have been honing their talent and building a fan base over the past couple of years and were recently been tip of the day for NME Radar. “As their name implies, Filthy Boy are a smutty proposition....Sweeney Todd down the indie disco ....All in all, pretty disgusting ....they have a knack of sounding like he’s casually sparking up a post-coital cigarette” Lisa Wright NME

Deadly Creature events were initiated by the Stroud based band Sheena in November 2012. The nights were created to profile and expose the vibrant live music scene. and have gone from strength to strength with bands playing to capacity audiences. The success of these events prompted the organisers to put together a weekend of some of the best bands that have featured at the Deadly Creature events with a few additional special guest appearances.

Expect to hear... psychedelic, heavenly, stranger, new psychedelic, post modernistic Indie , new wave, garage, voyeurism, shoegaze, synth roc, kraut rock, art rock, art school, post punk, old punk, sheena, black skinny jeans...

After the live performances at the Goods Shed Deadly Creatures have organised an after party at SVA. The 'Vine Club' starts at 11pm and will play 60s psychedelia, post punk, 70s glam and soul.

“To create is divine, to reproduce is human.” Man Ray. After the success of their exhibition ‘Convergence & Space’ in the Brunel Goods Shed last year Paul Grellier and Ann-Margreth Bohl continue their collaboration in another local historic setting., aiming to highlight the value of this fascinating museum and broaden its audience. Visitors are encouraged to seek out and identify the temporary 'additions' the artists have secreted amongst its existing collection of objects. Participate by creating your own narrative for a chosen object, and see it displayed as part of the exhibition.
