Daniel Padden and Sarah Kenchington
Sunday 31st May 8pm

Daniel Padden is a multi-instrumentalist and member of the cult experimental band 'Volcano The Bear'. He also forms with 'The One Ensemble', an avant-chamber-folk group based in Scotland. As well as recording and performing as a solo artist, he creates music for film and theatre.
Sarah Kenchington plays her own invented, pedal driven, music machine, it has horns, a hurdy gurdy-banjo and a giant mbira. Her music can sound orchestral, animal, mechanical, uncomfortable or dainty. She performs solo (Shy Showoff) and with the Book Of Beasts. Daniel Padden and Sarah Kenchington will be coming to Stroud from the Serpentine Gallery in London, where they are launching their new album, 'The Bellow Switch' (Shadazz records)

Jade Hamzelou
Thursday 11th June 8pm

Jade has a sublime collection of songs, both written and peformed by her. She feels the harp is so much more than a lyrical instrument; using mediaeval techniques with fingernails she transforms the harp into a rhythmic and percussive instrument. Jade started working with Graeme Owen, on double bass which has proved to be a very good match, both of instruments and styles. Working with double bass gives a strong groove to the harp.

Punk-jazz in the Acoustic Ladyland vein from musicians who have played with Portishead, Super Furry Animals and Roni Size. Their debut album 'All is Yes' won the coveted BBC Jazz Album of the Year last year and they went on to perform triumphant sets at Glastonbury and the Big Chill. Mixing hard edged bass riffs, blasting horns, electronic trickery with massive drumming. An explosion of jazz from musicians of inarguable rock pedigree, all wrapped up in a rather unusual sense of humour. Their amazing new album ‘Bugs in the Amber’ has just been released and available to buy at the festival.'The grooves make your spine tingle' Guardian
