Call for artist: Site Festival & Somerset Art Weeks Exchange

This year, Stroud Valleys Artspace (SVA) working in partnership with Somerset Art Works (SAW) and Reveal Somerset, offer an opportunity for artist from Stroud to showcase his/her work during Somerset Art Weeks: Open Studios Event (15-30 September). SVA and SAW will co-select an artist to develop and showcase their work. The selected artist will be offered a residency during the Art Weeks in a temporary studios space at the Brewhouse Theatre and Art Centre and financial support in travelling, accommodation, materials, exhibition space and networking opportunities.

Hacker Farm will be resident in the SVA sculpture studios with the Quercus artists during the Site Festival Open Studio weekends. For more info: www.hackerfarm.net

About Somerset Art Weeks: Open Studios Event 2012

Somerset Art Weeks is a countywide celebration of the variety and quality of contemporary visual art that can be found in Somerset. More than 300 artists in Somerset will be showcasing their work throughout over 200 venues.

Criteria:

- You will be an artist working in contemporary practice

- You will be a Stroud District based artist who is taking part in the Site Festival 2012

- You will be a member/ apply for membership for SVA
